For day one, the cover item is...
Apples
My choice is:
This seems to be a popular cover item, that seems to have taken off after the Twilight series. It's been years since I read this and the other fairy-tale retellings this series. I got each of these from the library. This somehow came to my mind first when deciding on a cover with an apple. This is a Snow White retelling, so it's only natural an apple would appear on the cover.
Now it's your turn. Provide a link in the comments (from Amazon, Goodreads or other sites) to a book with the item of the day. Just naming the book in the comments is also acceptable. Remember, you cannot use the same one in my post. Otherwise, just comment on the post. Good Luck!

We listened to that series as a family on a cross-country road trip. (At my recommendation.) Loved it! I don't have an apple link, sorry... Unless we're talking about the ipad in the other room. ;D
ReplyDeleteHahahaha, that apple looks positively radioactive!
ReplyDeleteDebra: Well, it is a dystopian series.
ReplyDeleteI had read the Lunar Chronicles and liked it but I especially like the covers. This cover is actually just right for the book.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day.
I like Steven Kellogg's children's book, "Johnny Appleseed".
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cover. Great backlighting!
ReplyDeletePerfect A item. (Sorry, no time to go looking for books today. And I don't really notice covers anymore.)
ReplyDeleteI actually have one. It's called The Apple: a Delicious History.
ReplyDeleteGood to visit and view the book cover.

Fun take on the theme, it is interesting how a single object like an apple can instantly connect so many stories and covers.
ReplyDeleteNow I am curious how creative the picks will get as the challenge goes on.
I loved the Lunar Chronicles series!
ReplyDeleteMy choice would be a book I read recently and loved:
The Ghost Orchard by Helen Humphreys!
The Multicolored Diary
John Irving's - the Cider House Rules https://static.boekenbalie.nl/thumbnail/d0/50/ba/1665694291/boekenbalie_9780552127240_cover_800x800.jpg?ts=1665694291
ReplyDeleteI loved this series and Winter was one of the best books of the series!
ReplyDeleteGreat pick!
Julie @ Chapter Break
Good post. I don't remember reading a book with an apple picture on its cover.
ReplyDeleteRead both the books you mentioned :-)
