Another thing I have seen a lot of on covers. I once noted how it always seems to be girls wearing glasses on covers, and that some show pictures or the title on the lenses. I still have my copy of this at home, and have read it twice. I also saw the movie twice. This is one thing that made me choose eyewear for the scavenger hunt, as well as many other books I have read (or have even just seen) with eye glasses on the cover, often dominating the cover artwork.

The first book that comes to mind with glasses on the cover is Harry Potter.

ReplyDeleteSorry, didn't find anything today. As someone who wears contacts, I'm very familiar with glasses. There should be way more on book covers.
ReplyDeleteHow ironic is this? This morning, I had cataracts removed from my left eye (the right was done two weeks ago). If the right is any indication, I will no longer need eyeglasses (I've worn glasses for 57 years). The most I'll need going forward are readers. Wow, so there IS an advantage to becoming an old geezer, after all! Now, if I could only find a doctor who could help me fart with great confidence again, life will be golden (and much less messy).
