Doing this one again.
The 2023 Diversify Your Reading Challenge (DYRC) features a swing genre in October where you can choose your preference of Fiction or Non-Fiction. Based on your pick, the 2023 challenge will include 3-4 Non-Fiction genres and 8-9 Fiction genres. We’re also bringing back one of my favorite non-fiction genres: Self-Help. This is such a broad genre that you can choose something most relevant to your circumstances – I think that reading a self-help book is a great way to kick off the year and set you up for a <brilliant/productive/inspiring/insert adjective of choice> 2023!
Now, here we go…the 2023 Diversify Your Reading Challenge genres:
- January: Self-Help: Anxiety Disorder--Lisa Fletcher
- February: Romance: I Kissed Shara Wheeler--Casey McQuiston
- March: Literary Fiction: The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman--Ernest J. Gaines
- April: Memoir: The Peddler's Grandson--Edward Cohen
- May: Young Adult: Changeling--Molly Harper
- June: Thriller: The Lies I Tell--Julie Clark
- July: Non-Fiction: So-Called Normal--Mark Henick
- August: Contemporary Fiction: The Hotel Nantucket--Elin Hilderbrand
- September: Fantasy: The Silmarillion--J.R.R. Tolkien
- October: True Crime/Mystery: Savannah Breeze--Mary Kay Andrews (re-read)
- November: Historical Fiction: Annie John--Jamaica Kincaid
- December: Science Fiction: A Song for a New Day--Sarah Pinsker
Challenge completed on December 14
