Book Discussion: Reading Challenges Coming

It's getting to be that time. As you have already seen, one has already popped up for 2025, though many do not begin appearing until November or December, some not until January. This one was posted in September. This is one I have not taken part in, though I am always willing to try new ones. I'm waiting to see what others come up. There are several I've done for years now like the Color Coded, Popsugar and Book Riot (see my blog archives for links). One I'd been doing for years, the Poetry one, was not offered this past year. I was little disappointed about that.

I pointed out in this post from August some bizarre and troublesome categories. I have since managed to resolve most of these. I found an Instagram recommendation, though I have yet to get it to read. I may choose to do a reread for the literary hoax one, since two books that I have already read that fall into this category seem to be the only onesI can find. I still have not found poetry by a black British writer, one of the categories for the Feminist Challenge, on which I still have a few other hard-to-fulfill categories. It was beginning to look like I may not get them all, but we shall see.

I already began making graphics to display on each of the challenges I host. In recent years, I got a head of the game and posted them in October. But it now looks like I won't post them until November. Though I may begin drafting the posts this week, depending on how much other stuff I have planned for the remainder of this month.

As soon as the other challenges become available or when I find them, they will be posted on my blog. Many are on blogs or website, though some are on YouTube, Instagram or X/Twitter. I am moderator for a Facebook group that posts challenges and am often searching for those coming up, particularly at this time of year.

Meanwhile, I'm still working on some of those for this year. Like the feminist one, as I have already said. I've not gotten very many on own memoir challenge this year, but will try to get more in, as many as I can till the end of December. Five is the minimum, but I have already gone past that many.

As far as my posting for the Book Discussion Challenge is going, I signed up for the first level, but I am now nearing completion of the second level. I plan to join this again next year, too.

Be on the look out for challenge posts in the next months!
