Halloween at Work

Not a lot of pictures and some people didn't want in on the photos. We played Pin the Tail on the Black Cat, and played a Halloween Bingo game.

Happy Halloween! Some More Humor

Last Night

I decided to get out last night, having received another booster two weeks earlier.  I'm gradually getting back into the mode. Even before COVID hit, I wasn't going out that much. I was last out on Halloween in 2019.

I went to two different celebrations in town, staying at one longer than the other.  I got far too many pictures to include, but here are some.

This is my costume. Taken at home.

Was surprised to see another
mermaid--with
the same skirt as mine!

And yet another mermaid!

A lot of Mario Bros costumes
last night.

Liked this shirt.

Scary clown!

Painted Pumpkins and Pumpkin-Face Quesadillas

This was a craft project at the center and food from cooking class for October.  The jack-o-lantern faces were cut out of the tortillas before baking the quesadillas.

This is my pumpkin.

And my quesadilla.

My Handmade Mermaid Bra

I wasn't sure where to find a seashell bra so I searched for ways to do one myself. Most of the ideas I found seemed a bit complicated. I opted not use real shells, so I looked for paper shell templates and found this link  with a free printable template. I enlarged the designs and changed the colors to to find ones I liked. I then mounted the seashell designs onto poster board and punched holes in the top and side of the large shells to insert ribbon for tying. I painted the shells with Mod Podge to make them shiny and then added glitter glue stripes. I then made the starfish (also from the link above) to cover up the holes . They too, were mounted on pasteboard and painted with Mod Podge and glitter. The green ones were decorated with actual green glitter I happened to have, whereas the rest were decorated with glitter glue.

Below is the completed project.
