Happy first day of October. It was over 100 degrees today and the same is expected for the rest of the week. Nearly a repeat of the weather at this same time last year. I hate to keep showing this, but it is very true now!
I'm still narrowing down costume ideas and hope to decide by the end of this week. I'm now thinking the glow stick isn't working for the , and that the tea lights are the best solution, though the solar-powered garden stake provides a good effect, too. I'm going to get some pictures soon. And we plan to make the milk-jug lanterns at work later this month.
Also, our group at work is taking another trip to the pumpkin patch next Monday, the same one we went to last year. One of the gourds I got then has dried out and is hollow inside. When shaking it, you can hear the seeds rattle. The other gourd from then rotted a few weeks ago. I'm sure I'll be getting some new ones this year. I will be taking and putting up pictures of the trip next week. I had a great time last year and hope this year's trip will be just as fun.
I posted this at night because the hot weather made me sleepy most of the day and I had to run to the grocery store today. That wore me out even more, in the hot weather.
