No Christmas Yet, Please!

It's not even Halloween yet and today at both Dollar Tree and Dollar General, I began to see more Christmas stuff than that for Halloween. I still haven't decided what to wear this year, though I have some ideas. I certainly don't want to think about Christmas or Thanksgiving yet! Though I already I won't be doing much for either of those, since that is how it has been in recent years.

We are having a Halloween event at work the Friday before the holiday. I don't yet all know all the details. We also just started decorating for the holiday yesterday.

I still don't know about public celebrations yet. I'm still not quite ready for some public events. I did not got the county fair this past weekend (since I haven't been the fair in years) and am uncertain about the Renaissance Faire. I've only gone to that one once.

I haven't come up with any Halloween themed crafts this year, and don't want to think about Christmas ones yet. The decoration for Halloween is the closest we will get to a Halloween craft, unless someone else has some other idea in mind for another week this month (we do art every other Monday). I'm hoping to get pictures up of the paint brush project from last month (still have to figure how to do that!)

I worked in retail for many years and we always had holidays decorations out early. Iam doing, Halloween, Fall and Christmas crafts now.

Christmas always invades Halloween - that is why Halloween starts in July and August. It is crazy.

Christmas items have hit our stores too. Big, big sigh.

Yeah, I'm aware of how retail works, having worked in that area for several years. I always dreaded seeing the Christmas stuff in October.

I saw Christmas items already on display at Sam's Club last week. I'm not in the holiday mood yet and I don't know when I'll feel it.
